DOMAINS


Finalsite currently host our domain, will you do this?

Yes we will host, manage and be responsible for renewing your domain.

Will there be a cost for you to do so?

Yes, we charge £20 per year for most domain extensions (.co.uk & .com) but some domain extensions will cost more.

Will there be a cost from Finalsite to release it?

No, there will be no cost from Finalsite to release the domain.

WEBSITES


Will our site be exactly the same?

Yes, if that is the option chosen, we will ensure that your website is replicated as closely as possible, though some minor changes may occur.

You say it is a new CMS will we get free training?

Yes, there will be a monthly webinar you can attend as well as a library of training videos and a user manual. We aim to make managing your website on the new CMS as easy as possible and should you require 1-2-1 training for your school, we are able to arrange this.

Will the website look the same if it does not work the same?

Yes, though we cannot guarantee it will be 100% the same, any differences should be minor and unnoticeable.

Do we pay your normal £500 fee for releasing the HTML and CSS files?

Finalsite have agreed to waiver this fee.

Who will be our point of contact during the move?

Geraint Jones (or G if you’re struggling to pronounce his welsh name) Geraint is one of the company directors and is overseeing the move so will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. You can email Geraint on [email protected] or call the office on 029 2010 0985 where he will gladly take your call.

Will all our content be moved over as well?

Yes, as part of the move, all content, images and documents (and anything else we've missed) will be moved.

Will any custom features we have just paid for work on the new CSM?

Yes, though the way in which you administer them may be a little different.

If not, do they have an equivalent?

Our parent company was built on providing bespoke solutions, so we’re confident we can create any custom features you need.

We are the new providers and all our details are shown in the footer.

Why is this happening?

The Fluency CMS is being discontinued by the author on 31st December 2019.

Is this a rolling contact or will we be tied into something else for a period of time?

This is an annual rolling contract, but if you wish to discuss an extended contract to lock in the current price, we’re more than happy to discuss.

What support do I get?

We provide a ticket and telephone support system and are considering offering an online chat support system. We like to think we're a lovely helpful bunch and do all we can to offer the best support available, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you need help.

Does you have SLAs and is it ticket based only or is there a helpline?

Whilst we aim to answer any questions and provide support as quickly as possible (within one working day), unless you’re in a contract we do not have SLAs.

How long will it take to get the new version of our site up and running?

This all depends on the size of your website and which features it has. We are aiming to complete the full migration by the end of 2019 and will keep you informed of your websites progress. Obviously, the more time you give us the smoother the migration will go and any issues we encounter can be quickly resolved before the deadline.

What will our costs be moving forward?

Initially they will remain the same as they are. We plan to offer additional features and options going forward in 2020, but these will all be optional.

Will we be paying you and Finalsite at the same time?

No, you will pay Finalsite in 2019 and we will commence invoicing you in 2020.

What will we be paying till the end of the year?

The normal rate of your contract if you have renewed there will be no additional costs.
